Yearbook

Framework for instruction in yearbook will center on creating a publishable product and the Elements and Principles of Design and are aligned with the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements . Students will discover how the Elements and Principles of Design comprise the language of art and publication. The focus of this class will be to design and create the Windward High School Yearbook, Navigator. This is an authentic learning experience and student are required to meet strict and real deadlines. The pace is fast and the learning is fun.

Spring term in Yearbook is clipping right along. Students will be given a professionalism grade each day in yearbook. This will assess how they are doing staying on task and maintaining a professional attitiude in class. The grading for the work that they do will be assessed on a periodic basis and "Spread checkpoints". Students will receive a graded score based on the work they have completed, the effort they are making and meeting their deadline.
