ADVISORY
Advisory is a 25 minute class period that meets each day between first and second period. Students are divided between upper (11 th and 12 th grades) and lower (9 th and 10 th grades) academies with each academy divided into groups of 15 to 20 students. Every class has an advisory teacher. Students participate in various activities which include team and community building, community service, reflective writing, presentations of learning (POL), college and career planning, student grant writing process, grade checks and study time. Advisory also provides a time for important school announcements.
