ADVANCED AND ADVANCED PLACEMENT STUDIO ART
Framework for instruction in AP Studio Art will build on the foundation work that students have acquired from the practice and study of the Elements and Principles of Art. Advanced level students through practice and application of design concepts will accumulate a body of artwork (portfolio) that exhibits superior quality and development of content, variety, technique and process over the course of the year. Students will address portfolio components: quality, concentration and breadth and wish to develop mastery in a concept, composition and execution of an idea. Finally, students will submit a body of work to the College Board for examination and potential college credit.
