Welcome to Windward High Art/Health/Study Skills
Framework for instruction in art will be based on the Elements and Principles of Design. Students will discover how the Elements and Principles of Design comprise the language of art. In class, students will practice art vocabulary while critically analyzing works of art. Students will gain a foundation experience in a variety of art techniques, art history and aesthetics. Instruction will emphasize relevance through local and global community connections and Service Learning. Students will focus on creating works of art in all areas of art. All instruction will be imbedded in Project-Based Learning. Windward also offers AP Studio Art in Drawing, 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Design and Art 1&2-3D
