Geometry A

Prerequisite requirement: Successful completion of Algebra 1.

Course Description & Goals: This Geometry class will be taught using the College Preparatory Mathematics Program (CPM). This is a mathematically challenging course designed to help students learn the main ideas and procedures of geometry as well as gain a deep understanding of them. In this course, students will learn a core set of geometric facts, use their problem solving skills, communicate their mathematical understanding (proofs), and develop spatial visualization skills. Students will also have numerous opportunities to see the math they are learning at work in realistic situations.
