Ah yes... the setting. Basically, the setting is where and when your story takes place. Your story might happen in modern-day america, or on the planet Zuuk in the distant future, or on an alternate Earth in the distant past. Maybe there are multiple dimensions in your story. Maybe there are multiple times in your story. Who knows? This is where you get the chance to be really original, or really boring.
