When starting a new project in Ulead Video Studio follow these steps. WARNING: To not follow these instructions may cause your project to not work properly!!!
- Create a new project. (File > New Project)
- Save the project on the V: drive.
(File > Save)
- Choose the appropriate folder for your class (either Per 4 or Per 7)
- Inside this folder, create a new folder for your group.
- Click "Save"
- Edit the Preferences.

- Go to File > Preferences.
- On the General Tab, find the "Working Folder" box. Make sure this is the same folder you just saved your project in on the V: drive. If not, browse to the correct folder.
- Choose the Preview tab at the top of the dialog box.
- On the second line, browse to the Temp folder on the V:\ drive
- Select the little box next to line 2 and deselect the box next to line 1.
- Click OK
- Capture your video footage, to your project folder on the V:\ drive.
- Click on the "Capture" tab at the top of Video Studio.
- In the "Capture Folder" box, browse to your project folder on the V: drive (i.e. V:\PerX_VideoProjects\mygroupfolder\).
