Jill Iwasaki has worked in the Ferndale School District since 1989. She has an English degree from University of Irvine, California, Masters in Teaching, and Administrative credential from Western Washington University.
She has taught English, Reading & Writing, Community Resource Training, Diversified Occupations. P.E., Creative Writing, Health & Study Skills as well as being part of developing several news classes - Transitions, Japanese, and Teaching Academy. She also coached Women's' Soccer at FHS.
As part of the grant writing team that won the High Tech High/Connecting Schools & Community grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she also spent a year working on the planning and implementation of Windward High School. As both the Principal and a teacher at Windward- she has the opportunity and the pleasure of being part of this special learning community.
Parents are invited to participate as volunteers, members of the Windward Parent Community, and critical partners in the education of our students.
Windward celebrates its fourth year in operation as Ferndale School District's newest small school project.
