Community partnerships will be a significant part of student's experience at Windward High School. The Connecting Schools and Communities Initiative is a program offered by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation designed to insure that more students leave high school ready for college, work, and civic contribution. This initiative was launched to help create strong educational and community-based opportunities for students in Washington State.

Why Community Partnerships?

  • To involve our community in addressing the needs of our youth
  • To involve our youth in addressing the needs of their community
  • To engage students in their high school academic coursework (service learning, internships, and the development of school based enterprises)
