Ferndale School District supports three high school programs - the newest is Windward High School. Windward offers students an opportunity for in-depth, real world learning through community partnerships, service learning, community service, and project-based learning. The goal is to allow all students to become high achievers who are ready for college, work, and civic contribution. Read more about Windward High School.

The "Connecting School & Community Initiative" is an important part of Windward High School. The program's goals include facilitating parent and community involvement in the learning of high school students. For more information, see Parent and Community Connections.
